Javea is next door to your Alicante Villas
- Jul 14, 2019
This year why not book or check Javea Villas to buy? Even though it is small it has a big heart. Over the past few generations, it has become a tourist hot spot, especially for the Europeans. It is hard to fault this village with only some 30,000 inhabitants surrounded by beauty only Mother Nature could bestow on the countryside. With the Montgo hill on one side and a beach on the other, it makes for the perfect picturesque setting. Now you can understand why no tourist in his right mind would miss a visit to this place.
At one time Javea was a simple little fishing port that was improved on by the Romans and later by the Moors who also used the port for commercial trading. Today there is still a little fishing going on here but it’s the tourist that flock here to sample the bounty of the sea while they enjoy the beautiful climate free from pollution.
The most important natural phenomenon in the area is the Montgo Natural Park which just happens to be the most popular. Some people say this park is the reason people travel here from all over the world to experience this massif. Standing at a height of 753 metres it offers a great place to climb especially when you reach the top with unbelievable views all the way to Ibiza. You are spoiled for choice of places to discover when you take into consideration the 2,000 hectares the park covers.
If you are interested in ancient buildings there is one that stands out from all the rest and that is the town’s church built in the 14th century. This building is an outstanding example of Gothic architecture located in the old section of town; it is well worth a visit if for no other reason than to appreciate the aesthetic beauty of the place.
When the beaches of Spain were rated Arenal Beach of Javea was firmly placed at the top of the list. The beach is also an excellent place to bring the kids to run and play in the sand. What makes the beach even more enticing, if that is possible, are the restaurants, bars and hotels lining the beach front. When the sun sits the bars move down on the beach providing food and drink along with music to soothe the tired soul. Nearby the beach is the port and between the two there is a choice of water sports that would make any other place green with envy.
If you are able to escape your ALICANTE VILLAS visit the old town which is known for its collection of ancient buildings. The road system could have only been laid out by the Romans as it is beautifully designed. It couldn’t have a better location next to the port and the shops have traditional handicraft only found in Javea that you can take back home with you to give to those unfortunate few that could not make the trip.
